One Scheduled Visit

What happens on the day

  1. 1Fish are netted and held in a tank filled with their own pond water
  2. 2The pond is fully drained
  3. 3Rocks, gravel and pond walls are power washed to strip sludge and algae
  4. 4Skimmer box, biofalls filter and filter pads are cleaned and inspected
  5. 5Plumbing, UV systems and pump connections are checked
  6. 6The pond is refilled with fresh dechlorinated water
  7. 7Fish are acclimated back in
Water Temperature

When to book it

Choose the appointment by water temperature, not by the date. The booking window opens after pond water remains above 50°F, which is usually mid-March through early May on Long Island.

An early visit can catch fish while they remain in a cold-weather state. Waiting too long can allow ammonia to begin climbing. Because spring appointments fill, call in late February or early March.
