A well-loved older colonial home with a failed waterfall from a previous contractor, an unfinished rear yard, and landscaping throughout the property that hadn't kept up with the home's character.
This project came to us because the previous contractor's waterfall had failed. We removed it entirely and rebuilt a proper waterfall from the ground up — correct liner placement, the right stone, and new coping around the pond edge. In the rear yard, we built an irregular bluestone patio designed specifically to suit this older colonial — the homeowners didn't want modern pavers; they wanted something that felt like it belonged. The irregular stone pattern with creeping moss filling the joints over time delivers that natural, lived-in feel. Everything was designed and built off a full drawing set prepared beforehand. The front and rear yards were completely re-landscaped: lower-maintenance plantings with perennials, color, and flowers everywhere — something that fit the neighborhood but had their own personality.
