The pond may be the beautiful part of a water feature, but the true peace and serenity comes from the waterfall. Hearing that water moving and breaking could soothe anyone. If you don’t want to give up yard space, or have any safety concerns with a pond, then a pondless waterfall is the way to go!
A pondless waterfall is a self is a self-sustained, maintenance free option. The basin beneath the gravel allows for enough water movement so that the water wont freeze during the winter months, as well as filtering itself in the process. A pondless waterfall is a cheaper alternative in the long run as well, seeing that it does not have to establish its own ecosystem.
