Adds Beauty to Your Yard

Is a Zen garden perfect for breathing exercises and yoga? Is a gorgeous small pond full of koi fish? Are endless flowers filling the garden with their lovely scent?

No matter what image comes to mind, you can most likely find comfort in the thought. That’s because an outdoor waterfall or small pond is relaxing. Whether it’s listening to the sound of water moving, feeling a flat stone under your hand, or watching the surface of the pond water, backyard ponds and waterfalls have a relaxing nature.

Bring a Touch of Nature

Backyard Ponds and Waterfalls in Acton, CA

Another benefit of backyard ponds and waterfalls in Nassau County is drawing nature into your backyard. When you create a pond, you can draw wildlife in. For example, birds, dragonflies, and other little creatures will come to check out your pond. What’s more fun than sitting outside and watching nature interact with the edges of the pond? Backyard waterfalls are the perfect location for birdwatching. All you have to do is fill the pond and watch nature come to you!

It Gets Your Family Outside

It can be hard to get kids outside in the modern world we live in. There are so many TV shows, video games, and social media apps that grab their attention. Backyard waterfalls in Garden City, NY are the perfect tools.

Kids love looking at and exploring nature, and you can bring it to your home with backyard ponds and waterfalls. From the sides of the pond, they can stick their hands in the shallow water and feel the different stones. Just ensure the pond liner is secure.

You can make games, teach your kids about nature, and watch them nurture their love for adventure.

Reduces Stress Levels

Sitting in front of a pond or waterfall can lower your stress levels. There’s nothing more relaxing than backyard waterfalls. There’s a reason that so many people use water sounds to relax and sleep at night. Water is one of the most calming sounds in the world.

If you feel like your stress is too much, don’t turn on a garden hose. Head out toward your outdoor waterfall and listen to the pond water shift in the wind. Soon, you’ll feel your stress melt away.

Masks Traffic and Noise Pollution

No one wants to hang out in their Nassau County backyard if all they can hear is traffic and noise pollution. Luckily, a waterfall design can block the sounds of the outside world. Sit out by your pond and close your eyes. The annoying sounds of traffic will soon drift away as you hear the soft bubbling of the pond. If you have a waterfall, the dripping of water and hum of the fountain working will block out any unwanted noise.

Turn your backyard into a sanctuary when you install a smaller waterfall in your backyard. If that sounds great, call Scott Anderson Design to build a waterfall in your yard.

Adds Value to Your Home

Finally, backyard ponds and waterfalls in Garden City, NY can add value to your home. Many potential homeowners want a beautiful, unique yard. Some information about Garden City, NY

Garden City is an incorporated village in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the village was 22,371.

In 1869, the Irish-born millionaire Alexander Turney Stewart bought a portion of the lightly populated Hempstead Plains. In a letter, Stewart described his intentions for Garden City:

Having been informed that interested parties are circulating statements to the effect that my purpose in desiring to purchase the Hempstead Plains is to devote them to the erection of tenement houses, and public charities of a like character, etc. I consider it proper to state that my only object in seeking to acquire these lands is to devote them to the usual purposes for which such lands, so located, should be applied that is, open them by constructing extensive public roads, laying out the lands in parcels for sale to actual settlers, and erecting at various points attractive buildings and residences, so that a barren waste may speedily be covered by a population desirable in every respect as neighbour taxpayers and as citizens. In doing this I am prepared and would be willing to expend several millions of dollars.

The central attraction of the new community was the Garden City Hotel, designed by the acclaimed firm of McKim, Mead & White. Although the original structure, as well as that which replaced it at the end of the 19th century, were torn down years ago after a fire, a rebuilt hotel still stands on the original grounds, as do many nearby Victorian homes. Access to Garden City was provided by the Central Railroad of Long Island, another Stewart project which he undertook at the same time. The railroad’s Hempstead Branch opened in 1873.
